“Only in a room with perfect acoustics can one fully appreciate an artist with perfect pitch. That thought is what kept coming to mind as I breathed in Lynn’s transcendent performance at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. “The Gathering” as the performance was fittingly named, was a night of moving acoustic music performed on a wide array of instruments – piano, guitar, oboe, English horn, saxophone, cello, and recorder – featuring Lynn’s talented and award-winning friends as the perfect musical complement to her lush, beautiful piano arrangements. Dressed beautifully with chandeliers and fine blue drapery, the hall was so balanced that the artists required no amplification, allowing the audience to fully appreciate the nuances of each instrument’s voice and the virtuosity of each performer. The concert featured selections from Lynn’s entire catalogue, highlighted by performances from her 2016 album Elysian, many of which included the original recording artists for the first time. It was an unforgettable night, befitting such an historic venue.” ~ Jordan Beutow, Seattle.
